Harry W. MacDougald
Atlanta native Harry W. MacDougald was born in 1958. He is a 1980 graduate of Brown University and a 1985 cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law. For 12 years he was an associate and then partner at Johnson & Montgomery, and was partners there with Harmon W. Caldwell, Jr. and Wade H. Watson III. He was a sole practitioner from 1997 to 2002, and was Of Counsel at Womble, Carlyle, Sandridge & Rice from 2002 through May 2006, when he joined Caldwell & Watson. Mr. MacDougald's practice is concentrated in fiduciary, estate, and commercial litigation. He has handled multiple trials and has numerous reported appellate decisions in diverse practice areas. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Georgia, as well as the federal courts of appeal for the 6th and 9th Circuits, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
In his spare time Mr. MacDougald, posting as "Buckhead", was the first blogger to point out that CBS News was relying on forged documents in its September 8th, 2004 story on President George W. Bush's National Guard Service.
Mr. MacDougald is married to Liz Francis MacDougald, and they have two boys, Park and Quinn.
